  • More traffic, same ceiling

You have paid, influencer, or organic demand. The problem is turning enough of that traffic into profitable orders.

  • Too many ideas, no direction

You want a methodical way to improve conversion rate and AOV, grounded in customer intelligence rather than intuition or competitor copying.

  • Revenue is leaking quietly

Somewhere between the landing page and checkout, profitable acquisition is being lost. You need to know where and why.

  • Revenue that compounds

You want a consistent, measurable system for turning customer insight, testing, and implementation into sustained revenue growth.

Not for

  • Brands that want a redesign dressed up as CRO.
  • Teams that want to copy another store’s playbook instead of finding what works for theirs.
  • Operators who treat customer research as optional.
  • Founders who see CRO as a cost center, not a profit lever.

How we optimize Shopify stores for conversion

Every engagement follows a structured, five-step process — no guesswork, no vanity metrics. Each step is built around your commercial goals and grounded in real user data.

“I would say Fifth Effect is the best secret weapon we have.”

Results feed our customer intelligence layer, Every test is a learning opportunity

Build the journey behind the click.

Research, positioning, design, development, and testing, all under one roof. We build the systems and run them for brands who are serious about scaling.

  • Painted showroom in a mid-century design studio: three travertine plinths on a terrazzo floor under a skylight, the middle one lit by a blue spotlight

    Make the right choice easier

In a crowded market, your core identity matters. We uncover the angles that make your brand relevant to the people you need to reach.

  • Painted instrument bench: a balance scale, calipers, a dial gauge and a slide rule laid out on graph paper, with one blue drafting pencil

    Persona-matched post-click journey

Every visitor arrives with a different reason and a different level of brand awareness. Each gets a journey built for that context.

  • Painted calendar movement of brass gears behind glass in a limestone wall, one wheel enameled blue

    Retention & LTV:CAC optimization

Subscription offers, subscriber experiences, and post-purchase journeys all shape what a customer is worth over time. We build retention into the growth model.

  • Painted wind tunnel test section: a clay car model with smoke streamlines flowing over it, one streamline tinted blue

    Research-backed test pipeline

Every test is scheduled, prioritized, and tied to a clear hypothesis, so you know what is running, what is next, and why.

  • Painted drafting room: rows of tilted walnut tables under north light, blank sheets pinned to a limestone wall, one lamp with a blue shade

    Connected strategy, design & development

Strategy, design, and maintainable Shopify implementation stay connected through one team. Less context gets lost between the idea and the live experience.

  • Painted proving ground at dawn: two covered prototype cars side by side on a banked track, a blue tag on one cover

One clear goal, hit from every side

Your unlock may be RPV, AOV, subscription take rate, or LTV. We find where the focus should be, then align the work around it.

Every engagement is shaped around the commercial lever most likely to move your numbers right now. For some brands, that’s offers. For others, it’s AOV or subscription mechanics.

Traffic changes how we validate an opportunity, not which opportunity matters. We don’t apply the same one-size-fits-all CRO checklist to every store. We diagnose what matters, prioritize the biggest move, and build the work around it.

Our CRO process, explained.

  1. See where revenue leaks. And why.

We map the customer journey from first click to purchase using analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, reviews, and surveys. This shows us where visitors lose momentum and gives us the context to understand why.

The result is a research layer the rest of the program can act on.

    What you get

    • Funnel and landing-page performance mapped from first touch to purchase, by segment.
    • Heatmaps and session replays reveal friction, confusion, and missed cues.
    • A living view of the highest-ROI fixes, prioritized for immediate testing.
  2. Test what deserves attention first. On repeat.

We rank opportunities by revenue exposure, research support, implementation effort, and the strength of the available evidence. Each idea becomes a clear hypothesis with a defined change, rationale, expected outcome, and success metric.

As new insights emerge, your experiment queue automatically evolves to surface the next highest-leverage opportunity. Testing becomes continuous, focused, and revenue-aligned by design.

    What you get

    • Roadmap ranked by projected lift to RPV, AOV, and CVR, plus reach.
    • Audience, targeting, variants, and rollout criteria — pre-scoped and ready.
    • Winners ship site-wide; near-misses iterate; losers inform the next hypothesis.

Ranked by revenue, not by gut.

Every idea scored on exposure, evidence, and effort before it earns traffic.

  3. Deliver brand-true experiences built to convert.

We translate insights into optimized experiences that carry your brand’s voice, remove hesitation, and move shoppers toward purchase.

Every design addresses a specific obstacle in the customer journey, from unclear value props to missing proof or unanswered objections. Delivered with a clear hypothesis and success metric, brought to life in clean, performant Shopify code with SEO and accessibility in mind.

    What you get

    • High-fidelity layouts tailored to how your customers decide.
    • Value props, proof, and objection-handling grounded in VoC and real behavior.
    • Clean, performant code that protects speed, SEO, and accessibility.

    Design that converts.

Behavior-led UX, brand-true visuals, faster paths from PDP to checkout.

  4. Ship tests with rigor. Get clean results fast.

We deploy every experiment with full QA and precision tracking using Intelligems or Shoplift — so issues are caught before they reach your customers, and every result can be interpreted with confidence.

Each test runs with daily monitoring across revenue per visitor (RPV), UX stability, and data integrity. We make decisions when the data supports them, not simply because a calendar says the test is finished.

    What you get

    • Full QA on every variant before it sees traffic — desktop, mobile, and checkout.
    • Daily RPV, AOV, and CVR monitoring with clear statistical stopping rules.
    • Clear win, loss, or inconclusive calls backed by the available evidence.
A dark project dashboard listing weekly A/B test tasks by status, from a client engagement

    Brand-first. Conversion-fast.

Your voice, backed by data — clean journeys that remove hesitation and add momentum.

  5. Bank the wins. Build the engine.

Validated winners move into the live experience with appropriate guardrails and rollback plans. Losses and inconclusive tests still tell us something about your audience.

You’re no longer just testing pages. You’re building a Customer Intelligence Layer that gets smarter with every cycle.

    What you get

    • Winning tests go live fast — the compounding growth starts immediately.
    • Compounding lifts in CVR, AOV, and LTV raise RPV month after month.
    • Expand winning patterns across pages, segments, and campaigns.

Every result makes the next one smarter.

Wins go live with rollback ready. Losses still teach.

Gouache drawing of a mid-century Detroit studio sorting room: a long wall of empty wooden pigeonholes, a table with a row of bone-coloured folders and one blue folder set apart, tall windows to the left.

AI does the sorting. We make the call.

AI organizes more customer evidence, surfaces more opportunities, and moves first-pass work forward. Your senior team still decides what matters, what fits your brand, what deserves traffic, and what is safe to release.

  • Faster execution

Briefs, variants, and first-pass builds move faster. Backlogs clear. Deadlines stop slipping.

  • More opportunities worth testing

More evidence gets analyzed, creating a deeper pipeline of evidence-backed opportunities.

  • Your time back

Spend your hours on strategy and growth, not babysitting QA, revisions, and gap-filling.

  • Senior attention where it matters

AI speeds up production. Senior specialists set direction, challenge the output, and sign off before anything ships.

AI handles more of the production work. We stay accountable for every decision.

The financial upside comes from compounding, not one miracle test.

Single tests are often small. A disciplined system turns small validated improvements into durable acquisition advantage.

  • A 2% monthly lift outperforms any redesign

A 1.66% monthly lift compounds into roughly 10% revenue uplift over six months. That’s the target architecture behind the protocol — and it beats any single-shot redesign on expected value.

  • Every winner raises acquisition power

Higher CR and AOV create more profit per visitor. More profit per visitor means more room to outbid competitors on paid traffic. Compounding CRO and compounding ad budget feed each other.

  • The database matters

Research, backlog, pipeline, and result interpretation live in the same system. Every test becomes reusable knowledge — for the brand, and for the next 250 brands we work with.

Build the testing engine your acquisition needs.

If you’re serious about long-term growth, the next step is a 30-minute strategy call. We’ll map whether the Conversion Clarity System™ fits your traffic, team, and economics — and tell you straight if it doesn’t.

Common questions

What results can I expect from Shopify CRO services?

More revenue from the traffic you already have — compounding lifts across RPV, AOV, and conversion rate. Every change is proven through measured A/B tests, so the uplift you see is real, not projected. We don’t quote a percentage before we’ve seen your data.

What exactly does a CRO agency do?

We find where your store loses revenue between the landing page and checkout, decide what to fix first, and prove each fix with a controlled test. That covers research, prioritization, design, development, QA, and launch — one team, one roadmap, measured on revenue per visitor.

How do you measure the impact of CRO?

Revenue per visitor is the north-star metric, with conversion rate and AOV as the drivers underneath it. Every test is tracked daily against RPV, UX stability, and data quality, and called a win, loss, or inconclusive when the data supports it — not when a calendar says the test is over.

What is your CRO process?

Five steps, run in order and then repeated: research and diagnose, prioritize and hypothesize, design and build, test and measure, learn and compound. Results from step five feed the next round of prioritization, which is how the program gets smarter every cycle.

How much traffic do I need to run A/B tests?

The system is built for Shopify brands doing $1M–$20M a year who are actively investing in paid, influencer, or organic acquisition. Below that, most stores cannot reach statistical significance in a reasonable window. Traffic changes how we validate an opportunity, not which opportunity matters.

What will you actually test on my site?

Product pages and collections, cart and checkout flow, homepage and landing pages, navigation and site search, retention mechanics, and the offer, pricing, and AOV levers. Which one comes first depends on where your funnel is furthest below benchmark.

Will you handle redesigns and landing page creation?

Yes, when the evidence calls for them. Dedicated landing pages, redesigned sections, and full-page tests are built by the same team, in clean Shopify code, with a hypothesis and a success metric attached. What we won’t do is a redesign dressed up as CRO.

What kind of ROI or revenue uplift can I expect?

The upside comes from compounding, not one miracle test: small validated lifts stacked month after month widen the gap over a one-off redesign. We don’t promise a number before we’ve seen your data — the discovery call is where we tell you what we think is realistic for your store.

How long before I see results?

Day one is onboarding and tracking. By day 14 your first test is live; by day 30 the first winner is called and rolled site-wide. From month two the program runs three to four tests a month, traffic permitting, each feeding the next.

How involved does my team need to be?

Approvals only. You review the hypothesis brief before a test is built and the result when it is called. We handle the research, design, build, QA, launch, and reporting.

What’s the price?

It depends on your traffic, the scope of the store, and how many tests a month it can support. We set it out plainly on the discovery call, once we have seen your numbers, so you are not pricing a program that does not fit.

What happens when a test loses?

It still teaches. A loss tells us something about your customers that a redesign never would have, and it goes into the Customer Intelligence Layer that shapes the next hypothesis. Nothing ships that lost, and rollback plans are written before launch, not after.

Why not just use AI tools ourselves?

Because the speed is the easy part. AI drafts the evidence view, the hypotheses, the variants, and the first-pass code; a senior strategist, designer, developer, and QA decide what matters, what looks like your brand, and what is safe to ship. The judgment is the service.
